Muzička was founded in 1990 in Bratislava, when a group of friends in their early twenties became fascinated by raw, unpolished Slovak folklore. Over the decades, Muzička has essentially remained true to its original approach, continuing to play folk music in the forms we love most – in its authentic shapes and rugged beauty. At the same time, we greatly enjoy entertaining people. That is why our performances range from concerts for folklore connoisseurs and collaborations with folk ensembles to weddings, celebrations, and community dances. We have an exceptional collaboration with the vocal group Ženy z Muzičky, with whom we share almost family-like bonds.
